COMENTARY
Center fire auto pistol class was won by Ken Degneault
with a perfect score of 250 with 16X. Ken has not fired a gun in the last 18
months and he still cleaned the course. Awesome job Ken! Jeff Gilbert took 2nd
place with a 195-11X and Ken Soares took 3rd
with a 170-3X. Good shooting guys!
Honorable mention to Pete Kennedy who suffered a right shoulder failure
in stage 5. Pete shuffled the gun to his left hand and continued to fire,
scoring additional head shots. Nice job Pete!
Marc Tetrault took first place
in Rimfire Auto with a 230-16X. Great shooting!
Marc’s performance so intimidated his peers that no one would shoot against
him. Marc won it all (alone).
John Valenti took 1st place in the
Single Action revolver class with a 125 (out of 150) -12X. John used special “whisper
quiet” rounds. Joel Camara took 2nd place
with a 120-4X. Charlie Valatka and John Achili tied for 3rd at 115. John took the win
with 7X compared to Charlie’s 5X. Excellent competition in this class.
The Revolver class was also distinguished by an intense rivalry between
Tony and Joel. Although Joel scored higher, Tony’s gun was much louder, as is
Tony from time to time.
Team class was captured by the team of Santo, Tetrault, and Gilbert
with a combined score of 500-31X. I can honestly say that there was no
competition for this outstanding team!
Congratulations and THANKS to all the shooters. A special thanks to
John and Charlie and Tim Sylvestri – they made this
possible. A note of thanks to Chic
Lake for getting
the RP field in such fine condition and for his help in scoring the targets
and for his outstanding job in the area of “Flood Control”. The range officer
volunteers did a great job …. THANKS!
